Chartered on December 2, 1972, the Iota Rho Chapter holds the distinction of being the first Black sorority at UNC Charlotte. For more than five decades, our sisters have served the Charlotte community through scholarship, advocacy, and uplift — carrying forward the founding ideals of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
